Bathroom Renovation Wolverhampton
Wolverhampton, West Midlands, UK
December 2025
Overview
Bathroom Renovation Wolverhampton is a UK-based bathroom fitting company serving Wolverhampton and the surrounding West Midlands. This project came during my internship, where I worked on the site end-to-end: full WordPress design and build, a complete Local SEO structure, and all on-page content — written with both traditional search and AI answer engines (AEO/GEO) in mind.
The brief was straightforward but demanding: this business covers 11 distinct services and 14 separate towns and suburbs across the West Midlands. The site needed a structure that could rank each of those combinations individually, without turning into a confusing maze for visitors.
Our Contributions
Website Design & Development (WordPress)
Built entirely in WordPress with Elementor, structured around one goal: turning visitors into booked home-visit consultations.
- Lead Capture Above the Fold: A full quote-request form (“Start Your Bathroom Transformation Today”) placed directly in the hero section, so visitors don’t need to scroll to take action.
- Structured Service & Area Navigation: A mega-menu organizing 11 individual service pages (full renovation, tiling, wet rooms, en-suites, disabled adaptations, and more) and 14 area-specific location pages.
- Transparent Pricing Section: A clear cost-guide breaking down budget, mid-range, and premium renovation pricing — building trust before a visitor even reaches out.
- Process Timeline: A step-by-step breakdown of the renovation journey, from free consultation through to snagging and handover, so homeowners know exactly what to expect.
Local SEO
With 14 towns and suburbs in the service area, a single “Wolverhampton” page wasn’t enough to capture local search demand.
- Location Page Buildout: Dedicated, uniquely written pages for each area served — Tettenhall, Codsall, Perton, Penn, Bilston, Wednesfield, Bushbury, Whitmore Reans, Wombourne, Heath Town, Blakenhall, Oxley, Fallings Park, and Pendeford.
- Service-Specific Keyword Targeting: Each of the 11 service pages built around its own high-intent search terms — “wet room installation Wolverhampton,” “bathroom tiling Wolverhampton,” and similar.
- Google Business Profile Alignment: Categories, service list, and service areas structured to match the site’s own local SEO targeting exactly.
On-Page SEO & AEO/GEO Content
Every word on the site was written by me — structured not just for traditional Google rankings, but for how AI answer engines and generative search tools (like Google’s AI Overviews) surface local business information.
- FAQ Content Built for Direct Answers: Questions written exactly the way a homeowner would ask them (“How much does bathroom renovation cost in Wolverhampton?”, “Do I need planning permission?”), each answered in a clear, self-contained format that answer engines can pull directly.
- Schema Markup: FAQ and local business schema added so search engines and AI tools can parse the content structurally, not just as plain text.
- Clear, Extractable Pricing Data: Cost ranges presented in a scannable format rather than buried in paragraphs — the format AI-generated answers tend to favor.
- Title Tags & Meta Descriptions: Rewritten across every page around real local search intent rather than generic industry phrasing.
Impact
Combining a conversion-focused WordPress build with a genuinely wide Local SEO footprint and answer-engine-ready content gave this business a digital presence that matches the scale of the area it actually serves:
- Coverage Depth: 14 distinct service areas and 11 services each with their own dedicated, optimized page.
- Conversion-First Design: A homepage built to capture a lead within seconds of landing, not after several scrolls.
- Future-Facing SEO: Content structured for both classic search rankings and the AI-driven answer results that are increasingly shaping how homeowners find local tradespeople.
This project was a chance to apply Local SEO, on-page SEO, and website design together on a larger, multi-location site — the same systematic approach I now bring specifically to plumbing businesses.
